JUNIOR/INTERMEDIATE PIPING STRESS ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities, specifications, procedures, etc.
  • Review and coordinate the piping engineering
  • Perform/review piping stress analysis and finite element analysis of static equipment’s nozzles and supports.
  • Generate/review piping specifications
  • Approving all piping deliverables produced within the team, prior to initial and construction release
  • Assist the department head when required in preparation of proposals and in presentations to prospective clients
  • Providing feedback to the discipline lead concerning problems arising from application of standard methods and work procedures/instruction/technical practices
  • Construction cost estimating
  • Engineering man-hour development
  • Maintain control of the piping scope budget and schedule
  • Oversee the preparation of plot plans equipment layout
  • Review and approve the isometrics drawings
  • Assist the discipline lead in the scheduling and resource management
  • Interact and communicate with the design leads and other project members.
  • Engage in inter-discipline design reviews and contribute to quality control and assurance.
  • Provide field support at client facilities to develop design concepts, verify existing drawings and perform final design checks.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in piping stress analysis and design
  • Working experience with using CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, and FE/PIPE
  • Work independently with minimum or no supervision
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
  • Member of the APEGA or eligible for a full membership
  • Solid understanding of equipment design, piping specifications and related industry codes and standards such as CSA, ASME, ANSI, API, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of the ASME B31.3, B31.4, CSA Z662 and associated Codes
  • Strong knowledge of Macro or VBA coding in excel is an asset
  • Knowledge of Plot Plan / Equipment Layout development, Piping Layout, Piping Materials, Piping Stress Analysis and 3D Computer Aided Design like PDS / PDMS, NavisWorks, etc.
  • Proven leadership capacity, highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and pro-active
  • Working experience in Design & Engineering team for Conceptual Studies, FEED, and EPC phases of grass-root and revamp projects
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel on site for work

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic Business Development Account Manager to facilitate the expansion of our clientele. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and support new business prospects, through researching, refining and developing plans for targeting prospects.
  • Develops new business opportunities and business development strategic plans through market analysis.
  • Follows market activity to anticipate new trends and capture business opportunities.
  • Conducts and reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, pricing and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Engineer with eligibility to obtain a Canadian P.Eng or American PE with 3 – 5 years business development experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering in an accredited Canadian, American university or equivalent.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a firm understanding of the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical EPC Industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary engineering deliverables for project execution specific to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Our ideal candidate will be an essential member of one of our multi-disciplinary engineering teams, possessing a minimum of 5 years of experience in EPCM Oil, Gas or Petrochemical facility design experience. As a member of this team you will report to a Senior Project Manager and be involved in the overall design and execution of all design aspects including, process, mechanical and stress, EIC, civil design. The ideal candidate with be familiar with regulatory processes for provincial or state energy agencies as well as boiler pressure vessel authorities. The project engineer will also review and coordinate procurement phases of this team’s projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage aspects of projects required to take concepts and ideas through to installation.
  • Coordinate with the project engineering team for the execution of the design of projects.
  • Perform design calculations including hydraulic line sizing calculations, mechanical piping stress calculations, PSV sizing, equipment sizing for various unit processes and also provide the associated documentation.
  • Develop engineering design drawings, reports, construction documents, and Client required forms.
  • Develop and check Plot Plans, P&IDs, Piping Plans, and isometric drawings.
  • Oversee the review of equipment technical bid submissions.
  • Provide regular updates on work progress to support preparation of cost and schedule reports.
  • Reinforce corporate quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of corporate quality and safety standards into the projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation of engineering work scope and cost estimations.
  • Provide regular updates on work progress to support preparation of cost and schedule reports.
  • Perform quality assurance function for work products before they are submitted to Client.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer registered with APEGA
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering in an accredited Canadian university or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary engineering deliverables for project execution specific to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
  • Minimum 5 years of consulting engineering experience.
