DOCUMENT CONTROLLER - PART-TIME

Our ideal candidate will be an essential member of our Document Control group which supports the entire Projects Team network within Lanmark. They will possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Document Control position, with one year minimum of CAD experience. The Document Control position will report to the Lead Document Controller and will work closely with the Project Managers, Project Engineers and Drafters and is responsible for all internal and external client document management activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Document Controller will be responsible to manage the lifecycle of documentation and ensure all project documentation meets Lanmark requirements.

  • Will be the point of contact for Lanmark for all external Document Control groups, including contractors and vendors.

  • Create and maintain Document Control related work aids, procedures and checklists for all phases (includes Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, Commissioning and Startup and Project Close Out) of Lanmark projects.

  • Ensure adherence to all Document Control standards and processes through informal checking of document control outputs (transmittals, metadata, distribution & completed request forms).

  • Perform Master Document Register(s) reconciliation to ensure data consistency between repositories (internal and external) compliance with project requirements.

  • Manage project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including weekly reports, monthly reports, submittals, RFIs, change documents, meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, approvals, templates and any project related items.

  • Make sure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are distributed

  • Ensure proper coding of all documents and drawings.

  • Execute project close-out activities for all turnovers.

  • Scan and print documents as required.

  • The Document Controller will be fluent in AutoCAD or a CAD related program. CAD duties will include printing from CAD to PDF, text edits and be proficient in knowing the Engineering Design drawing process.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • SAIT Information Management and Records Certificate or equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related Document Control Position.

  • Minimum 1-year experience in AutoCAD or CAD related position.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, the ability to multitask and work in a high pace setting in a group or in an individual setting.

  • Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary engineering deliverables for project execution.

  • Must be proficient in MFiles, SharePoint and FTP Sites.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Bluebeam.

  • Must have training in AutoCAD or CAD related software.

CALGARY CHEMICAL PROJECT ENGINEER

Our ideal candidate will be an essential member of one of our multi-disciplinary engineering teams, possessing a minimum of 5 years of experience with ammonia, urea, nitric acid, sulphuric acid or similar petrochemical processes. Also having basic project management and process design capabilities. As a member of this team you will report to a Senior Project Manager and be involved in the overall design and execution of all design aspects including, process, mechanical and stress, EIC, civil design.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with steam reforming, haber-bosch processes, MDEA treating, and similar processes.

  • Planning, scheduling and conducting specific phases of the work plan.

  • Perform design calculations including hydraulic line sizing calculations, mechanical piping stress calculations, PSV sizing, equipment sizing for various unit processes and also provide the associated documentation.

  • Validating, justifying and recommending technical solutions.

  • Identifying and integrating applicable requirements from other disciplines.

  • Develop and manage drawings with the engineering and drafting teams.

  • Develop and check Plot Plans, P&IDs, Piping Plans, and isometric drawings.

  • Liaising effectively with vendors, EPC personnel, technical experts, construction, operations, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Reporting to the IT Manager and working with administration, document control, and project staff, the Desktop Support Technician is responsible for setting up and implementing desktop systems in the Calgary and US offices of Lanmark. The successful candidate will have a high degree of professionalism and corporate communication skills, be professionally presented, and have superior organizational skills with the ability to focus on multiple tasks and changing priorities; with a mature approach and confidence in dealing with a wide range of clients, business partners and staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a professional first impression, and interface in a positive manner while engaging staff in person, over the phone, and through writing in regards to desktop support issues.

  • Assist in the deployment, monitoring, repair and maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT systems. This includes: telecommunications, servers, operating systems, hardware, software, and other miscellaneous computer equipment.

  • Specify and procure new desktop systems on behalf of Lanmark through vendor engagement and procurement normalization.

  • Help users troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and phone system issues and help them with network connectivity and image deployments.

  • Accurately and effectively communicate both the technical and non-technical aspects of modern desktop technologies and products to a variety of stakeholders within a wide array of presentation settings.

  • Build new Lanmark desktop systems in compliance with Lanmark standards for each department.

  • Perform onsite/remote service and provide support to clients and apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.

  • Escalate all project and non-core related requests to supervisor for evaluation.

  • Track and organize IT requests.

  • Stay current and take part in training as directed by the IT Manager.

Qualifications:

  • You have a Microsoft degree or diploma.

  • Experience in the EPCM sector.

  • A minimum 1-2 years' experience in a medium to large sized office with Tier 1 and 2 (Helpdesk/Desktop Support) with experience using remote access tools.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • An advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite of applications with the ability to learn and adapt to new programs and processes.

  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.

  • Knowledge of the following would be advantageous: MDT (BDD), PowerShell, OS release branches, repackaging applications, and virtualization of OS and applications.

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting a variety of Antivirus, Antispam, and Backup software packages.

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network connectivity, including inspection of routers and firewalls.

  • The ability to research and apply knowledge effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

  • Experience in Microsoft Management technologies, including Active Directory , Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) , WSUS.

  • Experienced in DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, and network security.

  • A professional, courteous, and mature demeanor with good phone and email etiquette.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and present a flexible and adaptable approach to work assignments.

  • Be highly organized with exceptional time management skills.

  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

  • Strong English language (oral and written) along with excellent communication skills.
